The call for 2025 Zanjan International Pantomime Festival 

The 4th Zanjan Pantomime Festival will be held in November 2025 with the support of the General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Zanjan Province, in partnership with the General Directorate of Darmatic Arts, the Iranian Dramatic Arts Association, the Zanjan Governorate, the Noor Al-Anwar Cultural and Artistic Institute of Zanjan, and the Baharan Theater Institute of Zanjan.

All performing arts groups (students, art and science academies, fine arts academies, liberal arts schools, kindergartens, daycare centers, and performing arts groups) can participate in this artistic event.

A: Resistance, sacrifice and dedication

B: New and creative look at indigenous, traditional, ritual and religious themes

C: Children and adolescents (live and puppet shows)

D: Social harms,

E: Mutual rights and duties of citizens and urban management

F: Comedy shows (liveliness and vitality in society)

G: Supporting the foundations of the family and the youth of the population

H: Considering the importance of humor and comedy, and its deep and widespread connection with the audience, the festival headquarters encourages special attention from participants in expressing their chosen themes, using this category.

Performance methods:

Mime and drama: Mimo drama (5 actors and 1 director) 6 people in total
La mim: One-act play (1 actor and 1 director) 2 people in total
Mute play (5 actors and 1 director) 6 people in total
Children (6 actors and 1 director) 7 people in total
Festival sections:

A - Stage (competitive)

* The duration of the performances in this section must be at least 15 and at most 30 minutes.

B - Performances outside halls (non-competitive)

* The performances in this section must be at most 15 minutes

C - Nations section (non-competitive)

D - Special section for dramatic shows

(age group of children and teenagers, students of free art schools, kindergartens, daycare centers, etc.)

(in the form of dramatic shows based on music and non-verbal dramatic movements) (Number of people in the group: maximum 6 people)

Explanation: In this section, works produced based on children's stories and poems based on music and dramatic movements can participate. (Up to 10 minutes)
* In order to increase artistic interactions, exchange of theatrical experiences, and improve the quality of works, the festival headquarters will invite artists from several theatrical groups from other countries.
D - Educational workshops and expert meetings

* During the festival, educational workshops and expert meetings will be held in person, and the presence of participating groups is mandatory.
